Hypertension and gut microbial hydrogenases: a comparison of hydrogen metabolism and etiology
Human metagenomic analyses found distinct gut microbial hydrogenase patterns in hypertension, and Mendelian-randomization analysis associated greater hydrogen metabolism with lower hypertension risk. This is evidence about endogenous microbial hydrogen metabolism, not a trial of administered hydrogen therapy.
