MHI H₂ Advisor Level 1 Certification Review & Course Overview
Level 1 Certification Review
The MHI H₂ Advisor Level 1 Certification is designed to give learners the scientific foundation needed to understand what molecular hydrogen is, how it differs from other forms of hydrogen, how it can be dissolved in water, and how to evaluate common claims made within the hydrogen industry.
The program begins with an introduction to the Molecular Hydrogen Institute and the hydrogen community. It then develops critical-thinking skills before introducing foundational chemistry, molecular-hydrogen terminology, hydrogen water, delivery methods, and the scientific research surrounding H₂.
Videos, slide presentations, written material, quizzes, study aids, and a final comprehensive examination are used to evaluate understanding. Completion signifies that the learner has studied and passed the required MHI material; it does not mean that the graduate speaks for MHI or is licensed to diagnose or treat medical conditions.
Six-Course Level 1 Curriculum
- Course 101 — Welcome to the Hydrogen Community: Introduces MHI, its certification structure, the hydrogen community, and foundational H₂ concepts.
- Course 102 — Thinking Like a Scientist: Covers scientific reasoning, the scientific method, logical fallacies, evidence quality, and credibility.
- Course 103 — Beginning Chemistry: Introduces atoms, molecules, compounds, chemical bonds, solutions, dissolution, and essential chemistry terminology.
- Course 104 — The Science of Molecular Hydrogen: Distinguishes molecular hydrogen from hydrogen ions, atomic hydrogen, isotopes, and hydrogen contained in other compounds.
- Course 105 — Understanding Hydrogen Water: Explains dissolved H₂, concentration, dose, production methods, storage, measurement, and common hydrogen-water terminology.
- Course 106 — Molecular Hydrogen Therapy: Introduces the developing research, proposed biological mechanisms, safety considerations, delivery methods, and responsible interpretation of potential benefits.
Final Comprehensive Examination
Learners must complete the six required courses before taking the final comprehensive examination. Successful completion leads to the official MHI H₂ Advisor Level 1 Certification.
The certification demonstrates completion and understanding of the MHI curriculum. It is an educational credential rather than a healthcare license, medical degree, regulatory approval, or authorization to represent MHI officially.
