MHI H₂ Consultant Level 2 Certification Review & Course Overview
Level 2 Certification Review
The MHI H₂ Consultant Level 2 Certification is designed for learners seeking a deeper scientific understanding of molecular hydrogen than the foundational Level 1 curriculum provides. It emphasizes critical thinking, evidence quality, chemistry, concentration, dose, delivery, inhalation parameters, safety, and the ability to identify misleading claims.
Level 2 is especially relevant to professionals and educators who discuss hydrogen products, hydrogen water, hydrogen inhalation, scientific research, or H₂-related services. The program is intended to improve scientific literacy and responsible communication rather than provide a license to diagnose or treat medical conditions.
MHI’s certification sequence places Level 1 before Level 2. Learners should complete the Level 1 material or possess the required foundational understanding before beginning this more advanced curriculum.
Level 2 Curriculum
- Courses 201/202 — The Scientific Mind: Scientific skepticism, principles of critical thinking, evidence appraisal, study interpretation, source credibility, logical errors, and identifying pseudoscience.
- Course 203 — Units of Measure, Molarity and Isotopes: Moles, molarity, molar mass, concentration units, hydrogen isotopes, and common dosing errors.
- Course 204 — Water Chemistry: Water structure, hydration, self-ionization, water types, and the scientific evaluation of structured-water and microclustering claims.
- Course 205 — Acid/Base and Redox Chemistry: pH, acids, bases, dissolved hydrogen, oxidation-reduction chemistry, free radicals, antioxidants, and ORP limitations.
- Course 206 — Hydrogen Water: Solubility, concentration, total dose, measurement, research findings, administration, and factors that affect hydrogen-water performance.
- Course 207 — Hydrogen Inhalation: FiH₂, flow, administered dose, breathing patterns, exposure time, delivery methods, oxyhydrogen, measurement, flammability, and safety considerations.
- Final Comprehensive Exam: Tests understanding of the Level 2 scientific and practical curriculum.
What Level 2 Does Not Cover
MHI states that Level 2 does not teach detailed protocols for treating specific medical conditions. The program provides general mechanistic, scientific, dosing, delivery, and safety context. It should not be represented as medical licensure or authorization to prescribe hydrogen therapy.
Course Access and Certification Period
- Delivery: Online and self-paced
- Typical Completion Time: Approximately 12–20 hours
- Extended Study Time: Some students may spend up to approximately 40 hours
- Bundle Access: Six months
- Certification: Certified H₂ Consultant – Level 2
- Certification Validity: Two years
University-Credit Option
The standard course is delivered through MHI’s online platform. MHI states that the certification may also be taken for university credit through Southern Utah University or Southwest Technical College by separate arrangement. The content and price for that option should be confirmed directly with MHI.
Current MHI Level 2 Certification Discount
The current official Level 2 beta price is $189. If code H2HUBB continues to apply to the updated price, it will save $18.90 or 10%, reducing the course price to $170.10.
