Description :

This UltraLux Water Machine review covers an undercounter hydrogen water and filtration system manufactured by UltraLux Health. The UltraLux Water Machine combines PEM/SPE hydrogen electrolysis, carbon-composite filtration, reverse osmosis, a UV-C component, and a digital stainless-steel faucet. This page includes independent UltraLux Water Machine test results, dissolved-hydrogen dose calculations, filtration measurements, product specifications, installation guidance, current availability, and UltraLux Water Machine price information.

Independent H2HUBB testing using H2Blue® reagent measured an average dissolved-hydrogen concentration of approximately 1.05 mg/L. Occasional results of approximately 1.3–1.4 mg/L were measured but were not produced consistently. The manufacturer’s stated 1.3 mg/L average and up-to-1.8 mg/L claim were therefore not independently confirmed.

UltraLux Water Machine Review & Independent Test Results

UltraLux Water Machine Review & Test Results

The UltraLux Water Machine is an undercounter hydrogen water and filtration system designed to provide filtered water and hydrogen-enriched water through a digital stainless-steel faucet. The system combines a carbon-composite prefilter, reverse-osmosis membrane, post-carbon filtration, a UV-C component, PEM/SPE hydrogen electrolysis, digital TDS monitoring, and automatic filter-life notifications.

Independent H2HUBB testing using H2Blue® reagent measured an average dissolved-hydrogen concentration of approximately 1.05 mg/L. All dissolved-hydrogen measurements were converted to SATP to account for water temperature and local atmospheric pressure.

H2HUBB occasionally measured approximately 1.3–1.4 mg/L, but those results were not produced consistently. The published H2HUBB report therefore did not confirm the manufacturer’s stated average of 1.3 mg/L or its up-to-1.8 mg/L claim.

Although the manufacturer’s full hydrogen claim was not confirmed, the independently measured 1.05 mg/L average represents a measurable amount of dissolved molecular hydrogen from an on-demand undercounter system. Based on that average, a 500 mL serving contains approximately 0.53 mg of dissolved H₂.

H2HUBB also evaluated the filtration system. The RO output measured approximately 30 TDS or lower, and no chlorine was detected in the tested drinking water. The machine did not materially change the source water’s pH.

Based on its verified hydrogen production, filtration measurements, chlorine testing, RO performance, smart faucet, installation design, and general operation, the UltraLux Water Machine received the H2HUBB Seal of Approval.

Approximate Hydrogen Dose per Serving

Based on the independently measured average of approximately 1.05 mg/L:

  • 8 oz Serving: Approximately 0.25 mg of dissolved H₂
  • 12 oz Serving: Approximately 0.37 mg of dissolved H₂
  • 16 oz Serving: Approximately 0.50 mg of dissolved H₂
  • 500 mL Serving: Approximately 0.53 mg of dissolved H₂
  • 24 oz Serving: Approximately 0.75 mg of dissolved H₂
  • 32 oz Serving: Approximately 0.99 mg of dissolved H₂
  • One Liter: Approximately 1.05 mg of dissolved H₂

These calculations use the H2HUBB-tested average rather than the manufacturer’s maximum claim. Actual dissolved-hydrogen concentration and dose may vary with source-water conditions, water temperature, filter condition, flow rate, installation, electrolysis-cell condition, maintenance, and the amount of time between dispensing and consumption.

Independent Hydrogen Test Procedure

H2HUBB tested the UltraLux Water Machine using municipal source water measuring approximately pH 10.3 and 277 TDS. The water temperature was approximately 22.6°C or 72.7°F.

Dissolved hydrogen was measured with H2Blue reagent, and the final readings were converted to SATP. The testing found an average concentration of approximately 1.05 mg/L, with occasional but inconsistent readings of approximately 1.3–1.4 mg/L.

Manufacturer Claim Comparison

UltraLux currently markets the machine as producing up to approximately 1.8 mg/L of dissolved molecular hydrogen. The published H2HUBB test report did not confirm that concentration as consistent performance.

For accuracy, this page uses the independently measured 1.05 mg/L average as its principal performance figure. The 1.3–1.4 mg/L results are identified as occasional measurements rather than expected output from every serving.

RO Filtration Confirmation

During the H2HUBB evaluation, the reverse-osmosis output measured approximately 30 TDS or lower. No detectable chlorine was found in the tested drinking water.

The tested source water had an initial pH of approximately 10.3, while the produced water remained near pH 10. The system therefore did not create the elevated pH; it largely preserved the pH characteristics of the source water.

The H2HUBB summary report does not independently confirm every contaminant-removal claim listed by the manufacturer. Broader statements involving specific metals, pharmaceuticals, microorganisms, fluoride, or other substances should remain identified as manufacturer-listed filtration claims unless supported by separate laboratory documentation.

Measured Water Flow

  • H2HUBB-Tested RO Flow: Approximately 1.5 L/min
  • H2HUBB-Tested Filtered-Water Flow: Approximately 2.4 L/min
  • Current Manufacturer-Listed Flow: Approximately 1.6 L/min

Flow can vary with household water pressure, filter condition, tubing length, installation, source-water temperature, membrane condition, and system maintenance.

Undercounter Installation

The UltraLux Water Machine is installed beneath the counter and connects to a dedicated digital faucet. Installation requires suitable source-water pressure, electrical power, a drain connection, sufficient under-sink space, and access for future filter replacement.

The current manufacturer-listed source-water pressure range is approximately 0.1–0.4 MPa or 14.5–58 psi. Homes exceeding the maximum listed pressure may require a pressure-reducing valve.
